Build your writing skills and develop your storytelling craft with published local author Val Clark.
Learn everything you need to know to write your own novel in this series of four writing workshops:
Saturday 13 May, 10 am - 2 pm: Getting started with a story by developing an imaginative and plausible plot
Saturday 27 May, 10 am - 2 pm: How to develop the point of view character and build the world they inhabit
Saturday 3 June, 10 am - 2 pm: Writing the first page and grabbing the reader's attention
Saturday 10 June, 10 am - 2 pm: Editing the first page to a polished draft for submission for publication
Workshop participants will be offered the opportunity to present their first page at the launch of Val Clark’s new novel, Found.
Open to young people aged 14 - 24 years. Soft drinks and snacks provided. Participants are expected to attend all 4 sessions.
