Join us during Law Week at Coonabarabran Library for Lunch and the Law - a live streamed webinar series to help you understand your rights, the law and the legal system. Topics include managing traffic fines and understanding your rights when renting a property. The sessions will be presented by Legal Aid NSW.
Monday 19 May | 12 to 1 pm | Parenting arrangements and the law Do you know how parenting arrangements are made after a separation? Tuesday 20 May | 12 to 1pm | Renting and the law Learn all about the new changes to NSW tenancy laws. Hear about the ending of ‘no grounds’ terminations, changes to keeping pets, limiting rent increases and more. Wednesday 21 May | 12 to 1pm | Second hand cars and the law Hear from experts about what you need to know before buying a used vehicle, including your consumer rights if something goes wrong. Thursday 22 May | 12 to 1pm | Traffic fines and the law Put the brakes on traffic offences. Learn all about traffic offences including what your options are if you receive a fine, what to expect at court and alternatives to fines. Friday 23 May | 12 to 1pm | Mobile phones and the law Nearly everyone has a mobile phone. But do you know your rights and the laws related to mobile phones?
